An
Architecture Style refers to method of construction and form of building, which
is identified in terms of design and history. An Architectural style is
developed within a country and keeps changing depending on technology,
religion, beliefs, materials available, fashion and requirement.
We would
like to share 70 Known Architectural styles which helped in developing the
architecture style in which we are living today.
Georgian Style was based on classical Greece
and Rome architecture, as revived in Renaissance Architecture.
Derived from Palladian architecture and
references of Greek and Roman architecture, Neoclassical has flat, planer
quality emphasizing the walls and separation of elements.
As the word suggest this style was revival of
medieval Gothic architecture including decorative patterns, finials, lancet
windows, hood molds and label stops.
This style broadly corresponds to Biedermeier
style. It was built in newly founded United States.
This Architecture style arose within the
framework that was in interest of national architecture. It had elements of
Byzantine architecture.
Victorian refers to Queen Victoria in
England. This style often included interpretations and eclectic revivals of
historic styles.
This style was inspired from 11th and 12th
century Romanesque architecture with more simplified arches and windows as key
features.
Swiss Chalet style refers to traditional
building built in Switzerland and the Alpine regions of central Europe
characterized with decorated wooden balconies and carved ornaments.
It was an international movement in fine art
began in Europe, North America and Japan and known for traditional craftsmanship
using simple forms.
It was a heavily
decorative style characterized by symmetry, flat roofs,
arched windows and doors and classical details taught
at Academie royale d' architecture and Ecole des Beaux Arts.
