POST COVID 19 MEASURES TO BE TAKEN TO WORK / START THE WORK AT OFFICE

The COVID - 19 has brought a many challenges and changes in our life, be in our Lifestyle or the professional life. Resuming after Lockdown for work we have to maintain symbiotic relationship between continuing our business and at same time we have to look after the well being of our employee.
Companies are grappling to plan and bringing back employees to work with a question in mind how to start and what to do. We have outlined some methodogies which can guide companies to overcomes challenges
1. Concentrate on Social Distancing
With maintaining the exisiting furniture and office interiors, seatings need to be reassigned to accomate the staff keeping in mind social distancing keeping few seats vacant identifying the most optimized plan
2. Phasing of employees returning back to work
With seats limitations, company need to identitfy the employees need and plan the reentry of workers based of role specific work. The employees can be phase back and can be seprated in term of alternate days or colour coding.
3. Identify Role specific employees
HR data is very crucial in this case which helps us to identify the workers which can work from home and staff which is needed in office so that accomodations can be made for office coming employees. Prioritizing of staff and department needed in office helps in planning the phase for employee to reenter in office
4. Replanning of spaces
In office maintaining the social distance will lead to cut the capacity of the office, so spaces like Conference Room, Learning labs , Library, Focus rooms should be reutilised, it increases the headcount for the staff.
5. Free Seating areas
In office free seating spaces operated on first come first serve basis, which raises the concern of cleanliness and cross contamination from multiple user sharing same desk. To reduce spread of germs, the employees need to be assign dedicated seats else cleaning fund in term sanitization shall be increased a lot
6. Tracking of sitting space
To keep transparency and clarity to all employees the respective desks should be labelled with there names and clear communication to be passed for there circulation path throughout the day which should be supported with focused cleaning response.
7. Shift work
Where the number of employees are in large number the shift working method should be used on basis of daily program or weekly time frame depending on company goals and needs.
8. Isolation Rooms
After keeping all measures, if in any event an employee shows the symptoms of health hazard, a isolated room should be should be marked with special ventilation so that others are safe. These room can be in lobby, common areas or parking areas. An isolation space marked can be any type of room but should be enclosed.
9. Communicate and Planning of Cleaning program
With cleanliness in mind, it should be priortize since individuals are returning back to work and safety of everyone is important. So proper cleaning program should be made and assiged according to occupancy zone.
10. Screening of Employee
Screening Protocols need to install in day to day working method for person entering in office. It might be in way of Sanitization bay, Temperatature check, Screening questions, travel realted.
